Lombardia Aerospace Cluster flying over London

14 companies from the Lombardian cluster will attend the Farnborough International Airshow 2024, scheduled from 22 to 26 July

The appointment with the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 is back. It is one of the most important showcases in the world for the aerospace industry, which will open its doors to the public on monday 22nd July and close on friday 26th. The Lombardia Aerospace Cluster will be present for the sixth time at the biennial London show, together with the big players in the district such as Leonardo, and specifically with 14 companies, mostly SMEs, representing what is, in terms of skills and production value, one of the most important national and European related industries in the aerospace sector, which countst over than 200 companies with approximately 21.800 employees and an annual turnover of approximately 6.3 billion euros and exports worth approximately 1 billion, equal to almost a quarter of the sector’s national exports.

The Cluster, in continuity with the internationalization path started with the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce of Varese, will be present at the Farnborough International Airshow 2024 with its own institutional stand in Hall 1 of the show (stand 1538) within the coordinated Italian area by AIAD, Federation of Italian Companies for Aerospace, Defense and Security. A collective space within which international operators will be able to come into contact with the entire Cluster and, specifically, with 10 companies physically present with their representatives, projects and catalogues. We are talking about companies such as Ase, Aviochem, Caast, Cordon Electronics Italia, Eligio Re Fraschini, Growermetal, Italiana Ponti Radio, Mecaer Aviation Group, Merlettie Omb Saleri. These will be joined by the companies that will surround the institutional space with their individual stands: Aerea, AMM, Logic e Secondo Mona. This is the presence of the Lombardia Aerospace Cluster at an event which will attract over 1,200 exhibitors from 44 countries to London for a total of 74 thousand expected visitors.

The calendar of meetings of the Lombardia Aerospace Cluster in Farnborough will be, again for this edition, dense and demanding. In fact, a series of meetings are scheduled with various delegations from other national and international clusters: is also expected at the Cluster stand the visit of the Minister of Defense, Guido Crosetto, together with a delegation from Lombardia Region and one from Confindustria Varese.
